I have Crystal Enterprise 9.0 connecting via ODBC to a Unidata 5.2 host. I can view reports for a bit, then will start getting a looping host logon. In the past when I got that, I bounced the pageserver and got some relief. This doesn't seem to be working anymore, or if it does only for a couple of reports. I have set the pageserver to drop connections after 1 minute of idle time. I feel there is a server I am not adjusting or that I can clear to open up the reports again.
Thanks

Why did you set such a short timeout?
If the connection is being dropped, you will get the logon request each time after that..( bear in mind that the pageserver will consider any period of time that it does not 'hear' from the database as idle time - like when large numbers of records are being selected thru a where clause - until the recordset is complete, the database is not sending anything to the pageserver, hence it appears to be idle).
Try Increasing the timeout instead..

Thanks for the prompt response. I set it so low because the help said to regarding Pageservers and ODBC. I've had it set at 5 and 10 minutes and the default 20. I'll set it back to 10 and see what happens, but I think this is a cumulative usage problem.
