Lookup problems

I have been having some "lookup" problems and I was wondering if anyone had a fix.

I am using ACT! 2003 and this is what happens.

I go to lookup>company and then type the company in.
If I "miss type" the comany name it remembers it and it seems that even when I correct it, when I do the search it is looking up the "miss typed" one that it autofilled and can't find it.

Example:
I am intending to lookup the college Loras. All the contacts have the word "Loras" in the company name.

I instead lookup "Loras College" (which doesn't exist") only the company name "Loras" is in my database. Now the lookup remembers "loras college" because it it autofilling if from the last lookup and even when I delete the word "college" in the lookup it doesn't seem to know I deleted it and can't find anyone in the group. I know they are there because I can look the people in the "loras" group up individually but they don't show up in the company lookup.

This happens on occasion and is very frustrating. It doesn't seem to happen every time.

Has anyone had this happen and can you help me?

Hi Gl Computing,

Thank you for the link. Looks like that will solve my problem.
