I'm looking to change a number, after it is dialed by the user to a different number.

Example:
User dials: 1-123-555-4567 -> PBX changes it -> 1-800-555-4567

I know how to deny the number from being dialed, but that creates a usability issue on the user side.

Anyone know how this would be done?

I believe you could make this a distant steering code and then alter it with a DMI (Digit Manipulation Index)

So, more or less,

New DMI X 112355Whatever
New RLI X entry 0 (outbound route) DMI of the new one from above
New CDP, DSC 11235554567 RLI X(new RLI from above)

More or less that should do it. Hope this helps. I'm sure I might have missed something, but don't hesitate to chime in guys. LOL. Have a good night all.

On the right track. you need to build a new DMI/RLI for the dialed number, then you need to make the changes in LD 90

SDDR ARRN
ARRN 5551212
ARLI 51

So your regular RLI for 800 calls is 50 and that goes out your local trunks.
You want to send 8005551212 out your new RLI, let's say 51

RLI 51 will have a new or use the same route and your DMI would DEL 11 and INST 12015551212

Your system must have the ability to program ARRN settings to do it like this.

Hope this helps.

If it is one particular number lets say 1 214 555 1212 then you will have to break out that whole NPA of 1214, kinda like this

1214 0
1214 1
1214 2
1214 3
1214 4
1214 6
1214 7
1214 8
1214 9

Send them out say RLI 1
Then program
1214 5551 20
1214 5551 22
1214 5551 23
1214 5551 24
1214 5551 25
1214 5551 26
1214 5551 27
1214 5551 28
1214 5551 29

Send them to RLI 1

Then program
1214 5551 210
1214 5551 211
1214 5551 213
1214 5551 214
1214 5551 215
1214 5551 216
1214 5551 217
1214 5551 218
1214 5551 219

Send them to RLI 1

Then take
1214 5551 212

and send it no a new RLI and build a DMI table to strip off the 1214 555 1212 and then insert your 1 800 xxx xxxx
