What's the first Palm model that usb connections were used instead of serial?

Also, is it possible to transfer a simple .txt file from Windows to the Palm and then open it and read it on a Palm?

...I know NOTHING about pdas...

I think it was the m505 that first had the USB connection. As far as a .txt file being read on the Palm, it depends on what Palm you have. The later Palms have Documents to Go loaded with them, which would open a .txt file. If the file is less then 4k, you could copy and paste into the memo portion of the desktop and then sync it. Otherwise, there are some other 3rd party programs such as CardTXT 0.70 for free or other available for a reasonable price available at palmgear.com or handango.com
