Hi guys!

Finally I found a job after graduating from the school 7 months ago.
I wanted to take the OCA cetification exams.
Now that my job will pay for the school.
I am thinking about taking a class in training center.
I have been searching all day for a good training school.
I cant seem to find a good place.
Ones oracle is offering are 5 day courses.
is there any 2-3 days class or saturday classes
for the Intro to 9i sql or fundamental I class.
If you know any good training school, would you guide me?
I live in maryland.
Thanks
QB

Have you tried a local college or community college. Many of them offer continuing education classes that cover Oracle, and are MUCH cheaper than the ones offered by Oracle or other training centers. CJ

Don't drink and post, save that for driving home!

Just to give you heads up. Oracle now needs one need to attend atleast one class for 9i at Oracle university or an Oracle Partner to get OCP(not OCA). I will suggest attend Gerogetown, George Mason if you can not attend Oracle univ. I will not go with any of those schools [many run by instructors who though may be certified] but never used Oracle. Expect atleast unversities or Oracle will maintain some standards. For me, I am going thru Examcram and Sybax grooup and taking help of Oracle forums on web like

Hi,

To fulfill Oracle mandatory of attending one oracle led instructor class to be certified as ocp, i would like to know which class would you recommend taking worthwhile?

I know Intro to SQL (IzO-007) and Fund-1 (IZO-031) are kind of easy and i have already passed it. The next two ( Fundamental-II or Performance Tuning), which is harder? Which can i do just by studying books alone? Will i be learning new options from Oracle Instructors regarding better performance tuning and do you opt that it is better for me to take that exam with Oracle instructor?

Please advice.

Regards,
ria
