I'm looking for sql 2000 server software. I'm having trouble finding mainstream resellers for the standard edition. Who do you all buy your SQL 2000 software from? and what exact version do you buy? I'm looking at the standard edition Sql 2000 w/ 5-CAL. I need it for a CCC server. Does this version sound right?

and plus the customer specifically asked how far back he can look at his historical call center data.

thx, do i need the 5 Cal's? or can I just put SQL Server 2000 on with no CAL's.... Does CCC use CALs?

Just to let you know, getting CCC installed with SQL is a bit of a pain, if your SQL server is a different machine to the CCC! You need to install the Report Server (which creates the tables within SQL), then uninstall the Crystal Reports, then install the CCC server as normal on the CCC server, but of course, you don't have SQL on that server, so the Reporting engine gets all confused that there is no DB, but you can skip past that and then it configures IIS etc.

Then just point the delta server for the Archiver to the SQL Server. I have taken a backup of a blank DB now, so if I need to install it on SQL again, I can just restore it instead of going through the wizard and having to uninstall everything etc! Or am I making life really difficult for myself!
