I have been using MySQL-Front for a couple of years and while it is helped me a great deal it is also pretty buggy for my experience.

I am looking for a backup method to see and edit my table data. Can anyone offer a another method - perhaps web based that is free and easy to use?

Thanks.

MySQL Query Browser offers table-editing facilities, as does MySQL Control Centre (no longer being developed, but still my own favourite). Both are available free from the MySQL site, but are not web-based.

PHPMyAdmin is the leading web-based MySQL tool, and offers facilities for database administration and table editing. I don't use it myself, so I don't know how it compares with the other tools mentioned.

Cool, thanks for the recommendations - that helps a great deal.

Ok, I installed MySQLCC on my computer and while it seems pretty cool - i can't figure out how to actually see the entries in the tables. I closest i come is in the Catalog view which shows the tables.

I am feeling kind of stupid that i can't figure this out.

Thanks

When I double-click on it, a new window appears that is titled "MySQL Table Editor", it has 3 tabs, "Columns and Indices" "Table Options" and "Advanced Options" but i don't see where i can actually see the information store in the tables.

I am using the MySQL Administrator Ver. 1.1.2 if that helps.

I thought you said you were using MySQLCC (MySQL Control Centre)? In MySQLCC, that's how you would do it.

MySQL Administrator does not have data-editing facilities, but it provides a link to MySQL Query Browser, if you have it installed.

With MySQL Query Browser, it's a bit more complicated. Double-click the table in the the Schemata list, which will generate a "SELECT * FROM tablename" query, click the Execute button in the toolbar, then click the Edit button at the bottom of the window.
