I'm running ArcServe 6.6 on Netware 4.10 server.
The Arcserve manager is running on a NT4 desktop with service pack 3 installed.

When I create a copy-job or a backup-job, the manager truncates the file and folder names to 8 characters.

Is there a solution for this problem ??

You need to be using SMS to do the backups. This means that TSA410 (and maybe TSANDS) need to be loaded on the target, and there needs to be a 'FullSMS = Yes' line in the [Host] section of the asconfig.ini file on the backup server.

Thanks for your reply. I had already applied everything you suggested.
But I found a solution, or a work-around if you want, for my problem.
When I copy a root folder with a name of up to 8 characters, all the underlaying folders, with long file names, are copied correctly.
