Hi, all !
A simple question: suppose we have a long duration incoming call - 10 hours 00 min 01 second. My BC9 CNI76 in CIL has the field call duration HMMSS. What we'll have in the situation in CIL record:
1st variant - two records:
DI (condition code) 99999
I (condition code) 00002
or
2nd variant - one record:
DI (condition code) 99999

? (Other fields omitted for simplicity).

Some people says - one record for all, be the 22 hours call - will be 99999 with D... Yeh?

Hi,

I dit test it a year ago. You have two records. I can not remember, but I think: the highest amount should be: 95959 and not 99999.

Hi, lalrl,
of course, 95959, it was my mistake, but it's unimportant, important that TWO records - thank you!

Sincerely yours,

Hi,
I have also had some experience with long duration calls max the duration goes is to 95959 and if the call gets longer then the next CIL record will have to be added to the 95959 to make it a complete record.
I also have a question related to this I want to know if these 9:59:59 calls are actually matured true calls I heard complains from my customer that these are false calls and when checked actually these calls were not possible.
Can any one please tell me why this happens.

The most obvious reason is two trunks without disconnection and/or answer signal connected back to back via transfer.
They will sit and spit out call records until manually disconnected.

One easy way to do this in some markets is to dial an external number which is busy, hang up and dial another number immidiately. Now if You didn't hang up long enough You have actually made a hookflash and put the trunk on hold without realizing it! If the second number also is busy You will transfer the two trunks together when You hang up the second call...

This transferred call has no way of disconnecting by itself.
This is easily done with US analogue CO trunks.

You prevent this from happening by disallowing the transfer.

Here is experiment's results - two records for a call with duration 95959 < t < 191918 - that's we need:
