Just installed a PRI on a MICS w 7.0...everything works except dialing "1" for LD or toll free. To make a call you press ITCM,9,then dial the number. When I dial LD or TF I get the message "you must dial 1 and the area code for this number."

I have the routing set up, Route 1 to PRI-A, destination code 9*(any), absorb=01. The default is set for 10 digits and the 1 is set for 11 digits. When the provider runs a trap they are not seeing the "1" from me.

I know it is probably something simple...any help is appreciated! Thanks!
 
Try setting absorb to none or all. I can't remember which off the top of my head.
 
Thanks...but if I set asborb to "all" it will send the 9, and and if I send "none" it won't send anything.

As I have been researching the other posts, do I need to build a seperate route for LD/TF? Then program each 91xxx?
This is a fractional T1 using 6 lines for voice...it is straight forward with a total of about 10 phones, no restrictions.
 
If your default dial plan is set as 10 and the entry for 1 is 11, most probably you are using a different ISDN protocol than your provider. That is the most common issue when they are set as NI2 and you are dms250, or 5ess and dms. Try changing on your side until you get something that works in all scenarios. (Don't forget to test inbound as well).
 
That is very interesting...both were set for NI-2 and I couldn't make outgoing calls, so I was told to change it to 5ESS. This solved the outgoing call issue, but seems to have caused another with the LD/TF. I will try changing it to the other types and see what happens. Thanks!
 
Ok, now we are getting there. If they swear that they are on NI2 and you are on NI2 and cannot make an outbound call, remove the business name from the system programming. That is just a hunch, that your provider is not accepting your call setup message when you try to force a business name into the call.
