Hi all,
Just wanted to find out if anyone is in similar boat.
We connect to our HQ on the other side of the world via Citrix Metaframe. Certain apps have printing issues-especially timeouts when printing larger docs. One of them is a scanned document database-we found that it was virtually impossible to upload docs to this app via Citrix-latency caused by propagation delay and how the app handled that is what I think was the culprit.
Round trip is basically 36000 km so that is as far as it gets I guess. Are there any accelerators that can help here? Viewing docs is not the problem-printing or saving files across the link is.
One last question, when it comes to printing across Citrix-is it basically a file transfer-I'm guessing it is similar to uploading/downloading with some idiosyncracies according to the app being used.

TIA.

have a look at the Citrix WANscaler. This tackels this kind of problems. We have an office in Europe connected to a site in Kuala Lumpur this way.

Thanks mate. Does the office do much by way of file transfers?
