I'm in the 409 area code & I have a user trying to call 318-627-xxxx & getting a fast busy. I've explained to the user that there is nothing I can do on my side & it maybe a phone co. issue or the other party's PBX. The user has tried 2 other of their numbers with the same result. I tested some other random 318-627-xxxx numbers & got a ring tone. Any idea what could be wrong here? My user & the other party are convinced there is something wrong w/ my system despite my best effort to explain to them otherwise.

Can you call it from a cell phone? If so trace your outbound call to make sure you are sending all the digits. If you are, contact the Telco and have them test. If not, you need to start troubleshooting.

Try calling the number from your phone and use LD 80 to track it. If you are getting out onto the public network that proves your PBX is not the issue. I would also try it from a cell phone.

OK, I managed to get through on one of the numbers on my cell (Verizon). The guy explained that we are not the only ones having issues calling them LD. The are on a new voice system of some sort & using some odd ball 3rd party voice provider I've never heard of (Sky Writer). I'm gonna guess it's some routing issue between their provider & AT&T. Thanks for the quick replies. [thumbsup2]

Easiest way turn on DCH MON in LD 96 look at the outbound setup message if you are sending the right digits to the PSTN (Compare to working call for digit format and TON) then you would just raise it with the carrier. Look for the incoming disconnect reason from the carrier give you an idea why they are dropping it.
