One of my facilities is setup so that certain stations have to dial a code in order to dial long distance or numbers outside of their COR.

Any ideas how this is done? I'm looking to use this same thing at another facility I maintain.

The caller would dial the number 9-1-555-1234, they would then get a 2nd dial tone kind of thing, and then enter the dialing code 2257 or something similar and the call would then go through.

It sounds to me like you are using authorization codes to place calls. This feature has RTU if it is not turned on. Look under "disp sys cust" to see if it is. Then if you would like to look more into it you can find the full description in the

Feature description and Implementation for communications manager manual 555-245-205
