Hello All,
I am trying to call a long distance number, and every time I dial out I get a fast busy right after I dial the area code. I'm dialing 98 (which we need to to dial out long distance) and 1 before the area code. Any ideas?

Ncos might be wrong for LD.

area code might not be configured.

Can you dial the same number from a cell phone?

Yeah, the number can be reached by a cell phone. How do I configure the area code?

Ld 90
prt
cust 0
feat=net
tran = ac1
type =npa

return until it prints. This will show you all of your area codes. Look for whatever you are calling and see if it is there.

Thanks, Ill give it a try. If its not listed what do I have to do to add it?

same thing except prt you type in new
enter it the same way as others you have, with rli being the same.

So I entered it in the same as the others and it still gives me a fast busy. Any other ideas?

can you make the call from any other phones? Maybe an NCOS issue.

Tried another phone, still doesn't work

Print out a working NPA like 1214 and then print out the non working NPA and post them here!
