Hi

I have a report with a log brought in as an unlinked object.

However, I want the users to be able to add in another logo if possible without having to go into report desing etc.......

Does anyone know of a way that this can be acheived, for example replace exisitng logo with new logo....

Perhaps through a change form.

I dont really want to store the graphic in the DB.

Any ideas

Thanks

With that said, I have no idea why it does not support the extension .JPEG and why it would not give some kind of error message. But I just double checked it and took a .jpg and changed the extension to .jpeg the file opens fine in any image viewer, but the database will not render it. You can also view .JPEG as thumbnails in windows explorer.

There is one bug that is even more bizarre in 2003. If the file is .jpg it renders fine if it is .JPG (capitals) it comes out distorted. Never able to get an answer on that problem.

Hi MajP

I think it must be some way I have set up my database, I have tried with both extensions but still get no image on the form.

Is there any chance you could look at my databse at all. I just need pointing in the right direction. It will no doubt somehing very obvious tot he experienced eye

Thanks

In your previous thread about importing bulk graphics there is a continous form that demos the idea. I have thumbnails in a continous form that are bound to a path. You should see how I do that. If I added an additiona yes/no field to the table that would complete my suggestion. You can post your db and I can take a look. But I would look closely at the file I demoed. Do you get that to work?

Included in that demo is also code to render unbound images.

Hi

How do I attach the file. I took a look at the demo file but it looks abit compicated for my expereince so far, that is why I just want to set off slowly and get this little Db working and then learn from there.

I cannot attache the file though on here , how do you do it.

Many Thanks

same way I did. You can use 4shared.com or mediafire or other file sharing site. Then post the link

I guess somehow I am not being clear, because nowhere do you have an Image Control bound to a field containing a path to an image.

IMAGE CONTROL, IMAGE CONTROL, IMAGE CONTROl
It has two mountains and a sun in the icon. It does not have a cactus.

NOT an OBJECT FRAME, NOT an OBJECT FRAME, NOT an OBJECT FRAME
This has a cactus for unbound or a cactus and xyz for a bound frame

here is a demo.

Hi MajP

Thanks alot and apologies for not understanding correctly. I will take a look at your example and then build mine like it.

Thanks for your help.
