I have a WAN network with W2K Active Directory. Each of my sites have its own file server and Domain Controller. How do I go and implement the logon scripts so that when user log on for each site, they will be mapped to their site's file server? If I create different script for each site, will ther be issues with AD?

Setup groups for each site in AD, ie #Site1, #Site2 and add users from each site to those groups.

Edit your login script on your netlogon share, get it to do standard things such as mapping homedir etc and then for site specific (shortcuts, printer creation etc) use kix or a batch file (ingroup) command to call seperate batch files for each site (site1.kix, site2.kix, site3.kix).

You can also apply GPO's to sites and have the user setting in that area, eg. my doco's redirection, logon/logoff scripts ect.

I'm in a similar situation. I have 3 sites w/AD. I've moved the users into the proper sites. I want to have a logon script that points to the user's home directory to run the drive connections from there. I'm not having any luck getting it to run. I've run gpedit.msc and created a netlogon.bat file that reads as follows:

ECHO OFF
net use i: /home
:user
if exist I:\user.bat I:\user.bat

I've set up the profile of the user on the DC for the login script line to netlogon.bat.

What am I missing?
