Hello, I have a brand new desktop (WinXP SP2) that I have just added to my network and it will not run the logon scripts off of my AD server. If I manually go in and run the commands from the login script into a command prompt, they all run fine. The script simply does not automatically run at login time. Is there anywhere where somthing might be logged so I can figure out what is going on? Or has anyone else experienced this similar problem?

Thanks

Did you check to see if the computer is in the same OU as others? The only issue i can think about is some minor configuration changes in GPO.

Good Luck

Have you checked IP address; is there an account for the machine in AD?

Yeah, the machine has an account in AD and has an IP. Also, it is in the OU it is supposed to be in. It does have a different NIC than the other machines here have, I may try replacing that once just to see if it helps any.

I found out what the problem was. Someone had changed the default PATH system variable from c:\windows\system32 to something else. The system did not know where to find the "net" command in the login scripts. All is working well now.
