Hello,

I recently took an xp machine off it's current domain and joined another domain. Now when I try and log into the new domain, I am getting "The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively" Policies were applied from it's old domain. I hope I gave the info need. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tony

Can you log on using the local administrator account? If so, log on and import a new local security policy - suggest compatws.inf. Then try and logon using a domain account.

Martyn

Yes I can log on as local admin. What's the best way to import that policy you mentioned?

Thanks,
Tony

Go to Admin Tools > Local Security Policy.

In local Security Settings > Action > Import Policy and select the policy from the list
