Hi all,

I edit users' loginscript file while WinNT server 4.0 is up.
When clients logon, PC runs the old version of loginscipt file. How can i work around this?? I try replicator when it doesnt work.

Login script file in \WinNT\System32\Repl\Imports\Scripts

I have to reboot server so that clients run the new one.

All helps appreciated

Jimmy

NT looks for the logon script in the NETLOGON administrative share, which is located at \winnt\system32\repl\import\scripts. When replication is established, the default settings are to replicate from winnt\system32\repl\EXPORT\scripts from the export server to \winnt\system32\repl\IMPORT\scripts on the import server. Keep in mind that your export server needs to replicate to itself, as well as your BDCs - so all domain controllers remain sync'd.

Double check: if your clients are NT workstations, go to one that is running the wrong script, launch Windows NT Diagnostics, click on the "Network" tab, and the "Logon Server" will tell you which Domain Controller validated the user's logon.

Also, on the export directory of your export server, make sure there are no locks in place (in server manager, replication).

Manually check the other DCs to see if the date/time of the relevant logon script has not updated. Chances are that replication failed for that server and that is the one being used to validate.

Thanks All,
I've forgot to replicate BDC and that's the problem.
