this is embedded voice mail on 3300 and 5312 IP phone.

When there is voice message in-box, if
1) directly press the message button without pick up the handset, it needs to do the following to hear the message:
Read message -> Call -> * -> ext.No. -> password

2) pick up the handset, it needs to do the following:
press the message button -> * -> ext.No. -> password

Can i skip the step of " * -> ext.No. ->"?
thank you.

Does your extn number match your mailbox number?
If not then you have to use the * key + ext num

I would guess that the port setting the MWI (Last port of voicemail) is not a member of the voicemail hunt group.

Additionally, I would guess that the MWI port does not have the COV VM port option enabled.

Combined, these two would create your symptoms.

thanks kwbmitel and Supernova99,

the entn number same as mailbox, and sure all the vm port member in vm huntgroup, I check vm port's cos, cov VM port already is yes!

I try to clustering 2 mitel system, but i forgot they have same number of VM port,so system have sync error, therefor I have to change it. after that, the problem appear.

Do you have the MWI port set to reroute always to the voicemail hunt groups main extension number?

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.
