Hi guys/ladies

A new week, a new problem. A user works from home and dials up via RAS. The prioblem however is, that since Windows xp was loaded on her machine, the "login via dial-up netowrking" tickbox is no longer available.

Normally when you click on options, it brings up the extra line in where you can select dial-up using dialup networking. I have checked the Registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Name: RASDisable
Type: REG_SZ
Value: 1

and this is not the problem.

Please help urgently.

Thanks guys

You want that value to be 0 and not 1 in the registry. In additon, if the computer is not a member of a domain, the Log on using dial-up connection check box does not appear.

Thanks bcastner.

I never checked that. The pc is not part of the domain and that is why she does not get the tick box.

Thanks for the response
