Login to IIS5 with Login and Password in URL

Sending the username/password in the way that you illustrate is purely a device used by the Cold Fusion script the runs the forum. The http protocol supports passing username/password in the URL as follows:-


This requires BASIC authentication to be enabled - I do not beleive it will work with Challenge/response.

from the Internet Explorer I get "Invalid Syntax" the Netscape Navigator doesn't even start doing something. Any idea.
