Login slow on 10.20

Hello, I hope someone can help !!?!

When using telnet on my HP9000 E55 its very slow to present the login prompt. I get /etc/issue and then it takes ages for login: to appear. Once it does then everything is ok (although its quite slow to exit telnet).

Any ideas

Check yout /etc/resolv.conf.
Maybe unix can not find your namesservers.

See if NIS is running (ps -ef|grep yp).
