We have a windows 2000 server with AD running and most of the clients are windows 2000 Pro with a few XP Pro running.

We have a new internal website releasing next week and what we want to do is set the default home page on each PC for the user when they login. IE is the default browser.

Is there an easy way to do this? Looked for an option in the Group Policy but didn't find this option. Not that good with scripts either.

Thanks in advance for your help.

User Configuration - Internet Option (something like that) then its under something like important URL's. Give that a go!

As mentioned above, Create your URL Group Policy, Edit it.
navigate to User Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Internet Explorer maintenance -> URLs -> Important URLs

This allows you to specify the home page url of your choice.

Thing with the above is wether you want your users to specify their own Home page as well. The group policy will overwrite whatever home page they set up after they begin using IE.

Thanks everyone. That did the trick. I set the GPO important URL and it worked very well. Not sure how I missed in on my first pass through there but it happens.

Thanks again,
Brian
