We have a % of users that experience lock ups in XP when logging on. There are a number of login scripts that are initiated by Group Policy that run for all users.
When checking you can see all scripts open and the user will have locked up. If you close all the scripts at the Server side and get the user to fully restart, the next login will work!
The same scripts have been in use for a number of years and this issue has only recently started happening.
Any ideas?
We thought it might be our AV product which was starting to scan .vbs files for thoroughly and it was and then stops then running altogether, or something along those line. That theory worked until this morning and yesterday when a user had the issue, where as know one else did!
