Hi All
I have set up a windows 2000 server in a test environment.
I have installed Active directory making it into a domain controller.
I have set up a folder with a share name testshare. I have given rights to this share to a user call user1.
I have the created a net use command and placed this into a batch file. I have tested the batch file and this runs.
Then I have done 2 things:
1.Copied this file into the sysvol\scripts directory and the went to the the GPO of the domain controler went to the user configuration\windows and put the path in of the batch file in the logon script function.
It does not run when I logi as the user.
I then trie dthe following as from my active directory implemetation course:
2. Went to the gPO of the domain controller, went to the user configuration section and to the logon scrtipt item, did show files and copied the batch file into the logon folder. Ithen went to the add scrip and selected the batch file from the defaulting logon folder. It does not work!!
What am I not doing??? I have tried this before and it no longer works on another 2000 domain (on the actuial hardware that I will be using). The individual user login scripts work and map the drive. But I will be having alot of users coming onto this system so I don ot really want to have individual scripts . Please help.
