Login Problem

I have some problem login to the system.This is the error message I got.
TTY 04 SCH MTC BUG 9:40
OVL111 IDLE 0

No matter what I typed this message will pop up on the screen.The one place I can login is the console. Any idea? Thanks in advanced.

I had to install this pep. Here is the readme. You could try the work-around first:

no,not yet. How do you int system? I will switch TTY port tomorrow. see what happen. Thank you for all the help

On the 1st Cabinet there is an SSC card with a button on it, just push the button and the system will INI and it takes about 20-30 sec.

I switch to TTY 05 port and it works fine. So I think TTY04 is locked somehow. Is there anyway I can unlock it?

when you switched ports, how did you do it. are you using the same Tera term or a different one?

I am using same program Tera term. I phsically switch the TTY port on the back of the cabinet.

Try LD 37 STAT

Then DIS TTY 4
then ENL TTY 4

then try the port again.

What are you using TTY0 TTY1 and TTY2 for. These are located on the main cabinet and connect directly thru the backplane to the SSC card via a "octopus" cable with three connectors. I suggest you use TTY 0 to check you status of all your TTYs in LD37 type stat. If there is a modem eliminator on one of the TTYs be sure to move it as well.

I also did TTY 04 in LD37 for testing input. It will not accept any word I typed in. Bad cable?

I did move modem which is TTY 08, didn't help. I am thinking may be I can reseat the ssc card. But I can't find the ssc card TTY 04 is connected to.

It may not be a SSC, do you have a NTAK02 in the system?

I am new to this system. I am still having problem on TTY 04. It will stop me typing no matter what I typed.

Did you try to LOGIN on TTY 5 and did it work?

Use TTY 5 and goto LD 37 and thpe

STAT and post that here.
