Login failed for user MyComputer\IUSR_MyComputer.

I have recently had to reinstall IIS when my it refused to recognize MyComputer. I'm not sure why but after I reinstalled it, when I try to test an asp page on the local network I get the error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e4d'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user MyComputer\IUSR_MyComputer.

I have checked SQL Server and have given permission for this user to access the database tables. When I test the query in Dreamweaver server behaviors, the test goes ok, but when I try to make the site dynamic or view it through the browser, I can't connect. Any idea what the problem might be? I'm really in a crunch here.

does your site require authentication from the person who is logged in to the computer? I think you have to change something or set up IIS to tell it that your site does this.

No , the site does not require authentication. Do you know what I have to do in IIS to set this up?

Hi there,

as far as I know you only have to do this if your app requires authentication. Double check your connection string and make sure the password for the user is correct and that the user has full permission (read/write) on the database.
