Hi guys

Having an issue with vMCD -

When I try logging into a new instance that I just spun up, I am unable to access the web interface using the username “admin” and password that I had set during deployment via console.
Username and password works fine on the MSL Console interface, but not the web interface.

It says username and password invalid.

Anyone knows what's going on here -

Thanks - appreciate it.

what browser , if IE set to compatibility mode

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

and due to an endless stream of MiCollab , MiCC issues
Life would be simpler If only they tested products properly before releasing them .....

I have tried all sorts of browsers, IE, Chrome, FF, etc. Compatibility mode, trusted network, etc, still no luck.

I am inclined to believe this is MSL related unless someone says otherwise.

Is the pc you are trying to access the system from in the list local networks?

Ok I think I am not clear here - note that I am able to access the web page ipaddress/server-manager so definitely not a network issue.

it's just the credentials part keeps coming up as invalid Username and password every time, though when I use the same credentials via the console I can get in without issues.

Are you using a saved link to the site?

Are you trying to access the Linux Server Manager or the 3300 Web Page?

I've never had an issue such as yours if you are trying Server Manager and are typing in the URL fully and completely

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

which credentials are not working?
ipaddress/server-manager or for vMCD ?

for vMCD you will need to use the default. system/password. it will then prompt you to change the password.
The credentials you specified on MSL are only for MSL.

yes, it's the MSL that I am trying to access.

i would reboot access the console and interrupt the boot
1. When the server is booting and you see the screen for the boot option (SME Server-up EL or SME Server) enter an a to modify the
kernel arguments before booting.
2. Type in a space then the word (single)
you will see.. grub append> ro root=/dev/main/root_ single
(the system will start to boot but will stop at sh-3.00#)
This may vary depending upon the operating system loaded - actual text may change
3. type passwd admin
4. type the new password and confirm it
5. type passwd root
6. type the new password and confirm it
7. reboot the server

try again

When you log in to the console are you logging in as root or admin?
If you can log in as root you could probably save yourself rebooting and activating single user mode.

Just enter [tt]passwd admin[/tt] at the shell and it will prompt for a new password. This should change what is used for server-manager.

Sorry guys, still no luck.
Logging this with Mitel.

I would think boot into single mode and then resetting the password would be the way to go. Might have a character in the password that is causing the issue is the only thing that I could think would cuase this.
