Hello,

I have a LOGIN.CMD file like this

net use m: /delete
net use m: \\server\share
etc. etc.

How do I assign each user a different script? like login_1.cmd for Users in Group 1 and login_2.cmd for Users in Group 2

Thanks

You can manually enter each script in the user properties in AD or you could use Group Policy.

Thanks Joe,

What do I use for

[1] Profile path
[2] Logon script (c:\windows\system32\login.cmd is good?)
[3] Local Path
[4] Connect drive

Appreciate your assistance!

Thank you

Mickey

Profile path is only used for Roaming Profiles.

Logon script should only have login.cmd The file it's self should be placed under " ????? c:\windows\sysvol\polices\scritps\startup "can't remember right off the top of my head but it is somewhere around there."

The Local drive I believe is for your home folder.

Thank you Joe!

Have a good night... appreciate your help!

Mickey

The setting you are discussing (logon script in the user profile) is a legacy setting for integration with NT4. You will be better served using a GPO to deploy and apply the script. Furthermore I would recommend using vbscript.

I have an extensive FAQ on the subject with sample code you can use. faq329-5798

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
