I'm trying to locate a document that explains the procedure for logging on a non dispaly IP handset. Have tried the Avaya site, but cant find anything . . . .

IP Office 3.1 IP Phone Installation

1a. 4601 and 5601 Installation
These two H.323 IP phones do not have a display screen to assist with installation and diagnostics.

The only method of installation supported is DHCP and this means the preparation requirements listed in 1. Preparation are essential for successful installation.

During installation the phone obtains and stores the IP addresses of the Call Server (the IP Office gatekeeper) and the TFTP server (the Manager PC). Currently we are not aware of any field method for resetting these values in order to move a 4601 or 5601 to a different IP Office system.

thanks intrigrant . . . picked up relevant literature from there. Much appreciated

Actually I have found that you can use Hold RESET# on these phones, but due to the lack of good visual feedback (did that LED flicker 5 times or 6 - who design this rubbish) you may have to attempt it several times.
