When I attempt to log on to my switch I enter a login and p/w I then need to enter a pin. Being I changed the login from dadmin, it asks for a new pin but every time I enter a new pin I get an "invalid pin" response. Can anyone tell me what I am missing or doing incorrectly? Again; appreciate any assistance
Fred

login with a different login.

display system-parameters customer-options Page 4 of 11

Enable 'dadmin' Login? y

if this is no, no pin will get you in.

dadmin will work for linux and web browser but not SAT if this is set to "n"

I did check to ensure that "y" was selected in the system-parameters and it was. Still unable to enter a valid pin for some reason. A new profile was added with a name change and I can get past the first log in but it asks for a new pin each time with the same result "invalid pin" I am using the required characters for the pin, I'll enter a new pin and it will tell me to re-enter it when I do I get that invalid pin again. Any idea? Luckily I still have access via dadmin...thanks again for the info....

id dadmin should show prof2
If you are not in prof2,

login as a different user
in linux "cmuserdel damin"
"cmuseradd dadmin"
"cmpasswd dadmin" to set your password

All of this will put you back in prof2 and possibly fix the Pin issue.
If not, send me an email for more assistance.

The dadmin was set as prof2 and the new login name was also prof2 but still get the screen to enter new pin when I enter a new pin for the new login it either says to re-enter it then tells me its incorrect or it just says incorrect pin...
ideas?....thanks
Fred.

You cannot add new logins in prof2 to make them function as dadmin.
Putting a new login in prof2 may allow linux access and web access, but will act
as described if you try to access SAT commands in CM.

dadmin prof2 has a pin in CM
a craft2 login is in prof3 and will have a pin in CM but only one craft2 login
can store a pin in CM.
