Hi,

Where do I look for the logfiles associated with failed programs? I tried looking in $BEC_LOG, but there's nothing there.

Regards,

Tony

Look in the log directory in the file bes_instancename_date.log

Also when in the log directory:
if the program is a batch program you will see a log file for that program/user.
if the program is an online program you can look in the error.log file and the programs.log file.

You should also specify which version of MIMS/Ellipse, BEC, and which transaction processor you are using. Log file names and locations have changed considerably from version to version in the last three years or so.

You can find the log file under these directories:
Batch - $BECENV_INSTANCE/log
Online - (Tuxedo) $EDEENV_INSTANCE/log
- (CICS) $EDEENV_CICSINST
