Sounds like your new server has not been set up as a member of your domain.

Are you running an Active Directory Domain?

If you are having errors when trying to make it a member of the domain, check to make sure your DNS settings in TCP/IP on your NIC are configured to reach the DNS server of the domain you are trying to join.

how can I set my new server as member of my domain?

It's a very simple task,goto Google and type in the followin.

----->join a computer to a domain

you will probably get dozens of results, or even 28,100,000 results.

One thing you may consider is its placement in AD, by default the computer object will be placed in computer container. Depending on GPO's you may have in place in your domain you may want to move the computer object once it is joined. But this is small stuff really, if you dont know how to join a computer to a domain you may not want to mess around with AD, it can be dangerous.
