BC10, User wanted to remote change profiles but his number was a hotdesk, this is normally done with a hard-wired dts extn and regional auth code. Hotdeskers use Central auth code.

So, i changed the users auth code to regional, added two additional profiles (profile 3 and 4)to the standard log off (profile 1) and log on (profile 2) that we use.

User dialled in using DISA and *75* and changed profiles successfully.

Problem now is, he is back in office and cant log in using *10* which is what our hotdeskers use. The profiles displays the last hardware phone that he was logged onto.

Is there a way around this? how do i get him to log on/off when regional auth code is on and he is a hotdesker?

thanks,

You can have both a regional and a Central authcode as the same authcode. You do not need to delete a Central authcode to create the same as authcode as regional. The Cilcode can be the same as well. I use a large number of Central authcodes and have created many of these as regional as well for freeseating.
