I am training a new person to help out changing inventories, etc on the web page. Thought he was okay to work on his own but somehow after a session on the page today something has changed that I can't seem to correct. When you try to get on the web page normally like any one would, a pop up screen comes up asking for a username and password just like when you are entering front page to edit the web? Any ideas. Thanks

Won't swear to it, but sounds like maybe the other person somehow set permissions.
Are you able to view source to see if there is something unusual in the HTML.

I can do everything normally in front page, and everything looks right in preview. However I get the password pop-up on any computer that I've tried to open the the home page on.

Ok, so FrontPage works fine. Try resetting or reinstalling the extensions through your site control panel to see if this will fix it.
Usually I only see this kind of prompt with a form submission when there is a problem with extensions. Not sure if I have seen it when opening a web one the net.
If this is published to the web, how about a URL so I can see if I get the same result?

Yes, I get the same thing. Have you tried resetting the extensions? If not, I would give this a try.
You might also include the full page HTML in a followup. Maybe someone will spot something.

Hey CycleNut,
Many web hosts have a place in the site control panel for regulating FrontPage Server Extensions. Once you open your site CP look for something referencing FrontPage. You will likely see options for On/Off, Enable Disable or Reset or Reinstall.
If resetting the extensions doesn't fix this, then I would start with a new page, recreate the homepage.htm and then do a Save As to replace the existing page.
Since I can't see your local web, I have no way of knowing if he placed this page in a folder and then set permissions.
You could check with you web host support to see if there is a permission problem at the server level.
Additionally, I am not sure why you are using meta http-equiv= repeatedly. Looks like you were attempting to add keywords via this method.

Thank you very much for your help, after repeated calls to my server they corrected the issue on their end. They have recently changed things at their end and have caused me many other problems. I need to find a better server with good support for Frontpage. Thanks again.
