Can anyone tell me the syntax for creating a logfile
im unloading 100 data files into ascii files and dont want to sit and watch the terminal all day for any error messages
is there a way to log the std output to a file to view when i go back in the morning

or

standard error 2>

Example

lpstat -t > /tmp/filname
lpstat -t 2> /tmp/filename
