Yesterday we noticed that the C: drive on our main file server was down to 50 megs. One of our techs poked around and found a large txt file called mtecmon.txt. Since the file was over 350 megs, we were unable to open it and look at it. I came in and rebooted the server and the file was still writing information. I moved the file to another directory, and another file was created in its place. I looked at it and here's what was in it:
DllEntryPoint(Time:880828 ms)<CR>
DllEntryPoint(Time:880843 ms)<CR>
DllEntryPoint(Time:970828 ms)<CR>
DllEntryPoint(Time:981531 ms)<CR>
DllEntryPoint(Time:1055890 ms)<CR>
DllEntryPoint(Time:1235906 ms)<CR>
DllEntryPoint(Time:1281531 ms)<CR>
DllEntryPoint(Time:1341078 ms)<CR>
DllEntryPoint(Time:1341515 ms)<CR>
DllEntryPoint(Time:1341546 ms)<CR>
The file was created on 11/26. We don't have any applications that were installed at that time. On 11/24 I installed SQL MSDE on the server for a help desk application we have called TrackIt, from Intuit. There is a "TrackIt Server Services" service on the server. I stopped it but the file was still written to.
The only other thing we installed was a "O&K Print Watch 2.41" printer queue monitoring application. That I had installed around the beginning of November, and it was creating a sizable mdb file, so we got rid of that. I emailed their website and they said the file should have nothing to do with their product.
Anyone know what this file is and how to stop it from generating? Thanks!
