Hi all,
just one question.
Does anybody know if is possible to lock a station without using PSA ( i don't have this feature enabled) and time of day routing.
I mean, i want that my users leaving the office in the evening can lock their phone with a digit code and when they come back in the morning they unlock the station always with a code.
During the night the phones have to be reachable for each call and must be able to call emergency numbers.

My system is Definity G3R8.

Thanks for any suggestion.

Look in the following Thread, it is about Changing COR which is available in R8

Please let me know if the information that was provided is helpfull.

MMM.
I 've seen the thread but it seems to me a bit comlicated for each user to do this.
The other problem is that, for our internal policies, each user has to be able to change it's personal code to access the station ( that is possible with PSA , but as i wrote before, this feature is not enabled in my sys par cust option).
Is this the only possible way to do this?

You can make it so that all your phones drops their cor from a high priviledge to a cor that can only make local calls. Mines are set at 6:30pm to drop all their cor to 31 so that it can only make local calls and reenable itself at 6:30am back to their original cor.

Yeah,
i know is possible to do that using time of day routing, but i have people that stays in the office after normal business hours and so the better way is to use a code.
The only problem is to understand how without using PSA.

As I say the only effective and secure way to do this is to setup your users with logins and give the bare station a low access COR. When the user logs in their COR will let them make the calls they want. There is no point in looking at how PSA can help if you dont have that option enabled! John

In the new Multi Vantage release it's a standard feauture.

Station Lock – local/remote activation via Feature Access Code.

I know you probably won't upgrade just to gain this new feature but perhaps you can do something with Authorization codes. Plan your work............Work your plan
