How do we lock an extention so that it cannot make long distance calls? I have a norstar 3x8 dr5.1
I have looked at the filters but can't seem to figure it out.

Try going to Filetr 10, then add the digits you want to restrict like 0 or 411.
When you add (restrict) the digit 1 also press show to see exceptions and add 180,1888 etc

Thankyou
This is what i did...
Show filter: "10"
No restrictions: "add"
Restr'n 01: "????????????????" What do I write?..there is an option call "any" below.
what do i write to add no long distance?

I got it now...but how do you do exceptions...such as 1800 numbers?

thankyou verymuch. everything is good now.
I also have another question, i set up my phone system as configuration 3, where all extentions shares line 1 and 2.
Ijust bought a ATA for my fax machine. But I don't seem to see any info on how to transfer my phone (or any norstar phone) to anohter extentions (such as my fax). Can you help me out?

Don't forget to block *67(which will give you dial tone after blocking your id) as well as 0 so people can't make an operator assisted LD call.
