Hello all,

I have found previous threads similar to this one but alas there were no resolutions in them and they are no closed. I have a client running quantity X 1 UCM 8.1(65).

I have tried the webcontrol / web from the explorer page and the Administrator / Administrator on the Voicemail Pro Client.

I have searched through the Avaya IP office Knowledge Base and found nothing there for being locked out.

Has anyone else been locked out of a UCM? If so mind sharing your results if you regained access?

Thank you.

What address are you using to access it? and have you ever been able to log into it?

acss sme acis sme acss cm 5.2.1 acss cm and cmm acss aura messaging.

If the hard drive of the UCM is full ( can happen on 8.1.trashversion for UCM ) then there is no way to login on the module.
Had that once and I could not take a backup or whatever so I did a complete USB reinstall of the module and made sure to disable all the silly logging which was turned on by default.
No-one understands these logs anyway so might as well disable it.

as of 8.1, the "webcontrol" username and password are Administrator / Administrator be default, not webcontrol/web.

Does the customer have ANY login information (manager, VM pro, anything)? Sometimes BP's are lazy and will reuse passwords across the system.

intrigrant you have nailed a huge part of it. My disk space is at 99% full.

That is what I had too. No access at all with the proper passwords. Bad thing from Avaya....

vtphoneguy I am locked out of the ssh client as well. Has anyone ever had to "crack" a UCM?

APDS,APSS,ACIS,ACSS

Yikes, not a good sign. I've always been able to access my UCM's via ssh when the hard disk is used up. It could be that the UCM has given up the ghost.
I assume that the voice mail has stopped working? Do your auto attendants and mailbox greetings play but you are unable to leave a voice mail message?
This UCM could be part of the bad batch that gave so many of us issues.

In system status, do you have a heartbeat failure? if so replace

In my case everything worked, the complaint was that they did not had new voicemail messages left for a week while they always had a number of voicemails each day.
I could administer One-X Portal and Voicemail but ssh, telnet, webacces were all blocked.
And the UCM had version 8.1.65, all the other versions did not ever show this problem although I have one on 9.0.2 were the hard disk was 99% full due to call recordings left on the server as Contact Store crashed ( as usual, piece of crap softare it is ). We replaced all CS installs with Chronicall ( linux ) which performs a lot better.

I just ran into this issue yesterday. could not web or SSH into UC module.. I did 2 things and was able to get in via SSH and I was able to delete duplicate files to get this thing to work again until I can replace the module .

Power cycled IPO and the Shut UC Module and restarted it in System status.

I would have though power cycling the IPO itself would have worked but did not until I used System status to shutdown and restart Module.

Not sure if it helps you but, maybe..

NYSTECH I assume that you knew the login credentials? I am locked out of my UCM as well as having %99 disk space.

You could create a bootable linux usb stick ( unetbootin works, I use Ubuntu)if the drive is still functioning you should be able to pull the needed info from the module and then rebuild and reload. You can boot from the USB by holding the power on button till the orange lights go out just like if you were doing a USB rebuild.
