Hello, my access database crashed, I recovered but now one of my forms are locked. I cannot add or change any thing on that form, I have a FE and A BE if I open the BE manually I can make changes to the data. but if I try to change it from the FE it doesn't work. I get error "you cannot go to the specified record". Please help if you can

Have you run Compact and Repair? From the menu, "Tools" -> "Database utilities"

Run this on the Backend and Frontend databases.

Still have problems? You can use the decompile command line to open the database and then Compact and Repair.

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\MSAccess.exe" "H:\Data\db\YourTestDB.mdb" /decompile

...But the most important thing is here is do you have a backup of your database? Databases should be backed up regularly.

no backup ava, the database seems fine but the FE somewhere go screwed. I can edit the subform but not the main form, so it could be the table

Do you not have multiple copies of the FE?

You can also create a new FE, and import the forms, reports and code from the problematic FE.

FiXed it. The program I used to recover the database tables didn't recover the autonumber or the promary keys structure. I found an old copy of the BE and Import the new data
