I took over the role as administrator several months ago and now I need to setup access to our network via VPN for an outside consulting group. All I want to give them is email. I want to block their access to the rest of the network. However, the previous admin did not remove the everyone group from the scheme. How can I do this without creating a nightmare of work for myself? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It’s time to ‘bite the bullet’ and get rid of the ‘everyone’ group. I had the same problem at one of our sites. I created a ‘User’ group and added it to the required folders to allow access while removing the “Everyone” group. You can then create a VPN group and restrict their access.
