lock field or other options?

How can I make sure?
That users cannot duplicate or delete my AutoNumber’s ( =Dmax(“field”, “table”)+1)
At this moment, if in a continuos form (subform)by clicking on the number you increase the number (unfortunately, the trigger for the change is On field Enter). How can I change this?
I would really appreciate some help. The application is already running…
 
Place a Unique index on the "field" in the Table, and set the Allow Zero Length property to No.

When the record is about to be saved, if it is a duplicate number, or it is Null, you will get an error message.
