We use CS1000E R7.5.
When I am away, I would like to lock my 1140E set preventing people from making calls from it.
Do you have any suggestion on what I need to do?

I tried assigning a SCPW, then enable the protection mode. I don't see how to actually activate it to lock/unlock the phone.

You should create an FCR (NCOS) in LD 49 preventing from dialing out, besides the NCOS which allows people to dial out.
Then create an AUT in LD 88 which allows it, so use the NCOS which allows dialing out.
After that you can lock down the phone with CLS AUTU and the NCOS you just created.
This means that outbound dialing will only be allowed when using the AUTR (LD 57, FFC) and the pincode

e.g.
You use NCOS 1 to prevent people from dialing out (allow 911/112, disallow all others)
You have a pincode created in LD 88 (3456) which is allowed (e.g. NCOS 0)
Your AUTR code = *77

When you then change the set to NCOS 1 you can only dial out using *773456 and then the leading 0 / 9 for an outside line.

One or more of the following will also work.

* Log onto the PoE switch running the phone and do a 'shutdown' command of that switchport, and a no shutdown command when you return (or the same with the voice VLAN command).
* Alternatively pull the patch cord on the switch (assuming the switch is in a secured location).
* Log onto the PBX, go into LD 20 and do a DISU of the phone's TN when you leave, and an ENLU when you return.
* Unplug it and lock it in a drawer.
* Place a sign on it saying "do not touch".

KCFLHRC,

Can you provide the user guide's NN43xxx-xxx number?

TIA

Another one we use is a feature called electronic lock, you set a lower NCOS in th CDB for when the phone is locked and make it so that is whatever level you want (Emergency only etc.) then set CLS CCSA against the phone and use the SCPW to lock and unlock the set.
