location of logon box 1

hi all, hopefully a pretty simple one here, does anyone know what file the logon dialogue bos is kept in?, i have looked in winlogon (using the wonderful tool known as rehacker) and cant see it in there, basically the company wants a custom login box, so i need to know where to look for it, also the dialogue box when windows is locked, does anyone know where that is?.

Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon. Add a new value called LogonPrompt and enter the text you want to display in the logon box.

Another useful one is a popup box which comes up straight after you press Control+Alt+Delete to log in. In the same place in the registry create the following values and enter the appropriate text

LegalNoticeText - this is the actual text in the popup box.
LegalNoticeCaption - this is the words in the title bar of the popup box.

This popup box is also configurable directly through Group Policy I think, in Computer Config/Windows Settings/Security settings/Local Policies/Security Options/Message Title & Message Text for users attemting to log on. However if you use AD and Group Policy it's quite a quick job just to put all these into an .msi package and roll it out to the desktops.

Thanks for that, it works a treat, i did it though group policys so diffrent deps have diffrent text, getting flash now arnt i!, another one though, do you know where the text is when you lock a station and it says this computer is in use and only username or an administrator can unlock it is saved?.
