I have two licensed copies of SQL server and wish to reinstall one on a new citrix server. In order to be compliant I need to uninstall one copy and reinstall on new server. How do I locate the microsoft sql 2000 product key that has been entered on to the server so that I am entering the correct product key for the software I am reinstalling? Thanks

Manksman,

Found this on a website.

If you've mislaid the hard copy of the CD key—you should be able to locate it in the registry of the SQL Server machine under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Registration:CD_Key

Does this help you out?

Thanks, I'll take a look when I get back in the office.
