Locate number

Hi All
Mitel 3300 member of cluster
When dialling the feature access code *2 to pickup ringing ext there is a delay of a few seconds.
DGT trace indicate more digits needed to route - thus indicating a number in system/cluster = *2???
How can one locate the number and location? eg *21,*235*, *2xxx

Locate All Free DN *2 to *2999 does not deliver any results.
Mitel wildcards * and ? does not work.

Any suggestions or help much appreciated.

Locating numbers is length specific.
Try the LOCATE ALL FREE DN with the below.
*20 - *29
*200 - *299
*2000 - *2999
etc...

This will tell you what is free/used within the range.
Then LOCATE NUMBER to find out what it is.

All locate free DN queries give the same result - A free DN within the given range cannot be found.
This is not possible since not all/any options in the range is programed.

More accurate info for DGT Race *2:
DGT Trace started:
Termination cannot be determined, more digits are required.
DGT Trace completed.

When I tried this without a star in front of the number it gave the same result. When I used the star it said the info was available in a file but not where said file was....

Is this only about call pickup?
Could you use/find a spare button to use as pickup?
If you have high end sets like 5320/30/40/60 one of the softkeys changes to pickup when you go off hook and a phone is ringing that is in your pickup group.

Failing the above what happens if you dial *2# (# forces end of dial)

yes and no. The size of the site make changing the feature access code difficult.(user resistance) As an interim solution I added a secondary code *2# which is working fine.

I've had the issue in the past locating a number and this instance just drove the quest for a solution. Especially if it is a number/feature code starting with * or #

I did not mean change the feature code, just dial *2# (FAC being *2, # meaning not to wait for timeout)
I don't think you would need to have *2# as secondary.

Cracked it (perhaps we can still find a shorter method)

For each DGT Trace *2X (X incrementing from 0 to 9)
with output "Termination cannot be determined, more digits are required."
X was the required digit
then repeat with
DGT Trace *2XY (Y incrementing from 0 to 9)
with output "Termination cannot be determined, more digits are required."
Y was the required digit
etc.
until DGT Trace resolve.
then Locate Number *2XYZ...

Eventually located the number as a Nametag Hunt group.

Hope this not so eloquent explanation help someone.

Yeah, Nametag hunt groups don't show up in any of the normal places unfortunately.
