We are in the process of removing our prologix systems and installing g430 gateways in thier place. In a couple of these locations we have PRI T1 trunks for both outgoing & DID calls terminated in the prologix. The other locations use the trunks that are terminated on our 8710. How do I make sure that the stations at these two locations will use the local PRi T1 trunks for both incoming & outgoing calls rather than the trunks that are terminated on the 8710?
Thanks
Tom

You just need to duplicate the trunks that are in your Prologix into the 8710 CM and then create ARS entries for the users at that site to go out on those PRI's.

So let's say you have the prologix in Phoenix AZ and the 8710 is in Florida.

When a Phoenix user dials 602, you would create a route to go out those local trunks.

Cheers,
Chris

You need to use location based routing. When you add the G430 to the 8710 you will have to assign a location to it. All stations that connect to the G430 will also have the same location. Do a "change ars ana location 'x' " and build the ARS table for that site. Any entry that is not covered in that locations ARS table will use the general ARS for all sites.

For inbound you do not need to do anything, the local carrier will still send the calls over the PRI.

Ditto. Tolson is absolutely correct. Thats we do.

Thanks for the replies. This site is great!
