Is there anyway to reset local policies remotely?

I have managed to completely lock up a server, and I cant get back into it with any known accounts. Please help im at my wits end!!

Thanks

If you remember what the directory service restore password is, you can get yourself to the startup (Advanced Options) menu and select Directory Services restore mode.
Often this is the same as the ASdministrator password you assigned when you first installed the system.

This will only apply if it is a domain controller.

You have two ways to do this remotely. You can connect to the server with the local group policy snap-in in your mmc from your workstation. Or you can DENY the access to the hidden GroupPolicy-folder in the system32-folder of your server (or you can delete the whole folder).
This only works if your Server is not an DC!!!!

IF you have not make log in after you made the changes, try rebooting and press F8 (as entering save mode), select the option of LAst KNwon Good COnfiguration. A+, MCP, CCNA
